Nothing is quite as frustrating as technology problems. This past week our internet stopped
working. A great big thank you goes out
to Bob Stetson who came on his day off on Monday to work on it and discovered a
bad wire. The next day a sweet man I
know very well, came to run a new wire through the attic. The wire did not solve the problem. But while up there he inadvertently unplugged
the security system. So on Tuesday when
leaving I noticed the alarm would not set.
After leaving the building I received a call from the alarm company
stating the motion detector in the hallway had went off. Fearful that I had locked someone in the
building, three of us ladies went back in to investigate. While attempting to open a closet door, one
of the dear ladies felt like it was being pulled and proceeded to scream. Then all three of us screamed and started to
run out. Then she discovered it was just
sticking. Well quite a comedy seeing
three ladies screaming and running from the building.
On Wednesday the alarm company came early and repaired the
alarm. Then Bradly Marchand came to get
our internet up and running again. We
are so thankful to him for coming across the bridge to get us back online. Oh, then while assembling our manuals for
training Saturday, the electric hole
punch stopped working and we had to resort to the manual one. Oh well, just a few days in the life of the
Pregnancy Center.
Many clients came in on Tuesday, but later in the week it
was rather light. We used this time to
work on what seemed to be some big tasks.
Many hands make large tasks not so large. I just want to say thank you to all the
volunteers who have worked so hard this week helping us prepare for training
tomorrow, banquet phone calls, and the everyday office duties.
We are looking forward to a very good training
tomorrow. Looks like we have about 20
ladies signed up to attend. If you would
like to come, please come on, we will make room for you. Breakfast and Lunch is provided. If you want to attend training, but cannot
make tomorrow, we will be having another one in a few weeks. It may be after the banquet however. This training is focusing on the duties of
receptionist, client assistant and nurses.
Our next training will be focusing on data entry, and earn while you
learn. But both will cover items that
are very important to all volunteers.
More banquet invitations went out this week. We have them available in the office if you
would like us to mail one to a particular person we would be glad to. Or you can come by and pick them up. If you are a
table host and have already
invited someone for your table, you will receive your Save The Date cards at
the Prayer Breakfast on March 5. You
should have your Prayer Breakfast invitation.
Please call with your RSVP so we can plan accordingly. If you are not a table host and wish to be
added to our list of attendees, and have not been asked by a Table Host, please
call the office and we will assign you to a table host. We will then get you a Save The Date
Card. Hope this is all clear. We are looking forward to a wonderful
banquet. Don’t forget to tell all the
men folk that there will be door prizes just for them. Shot gun, Big Green Egg bar-b-que grill, Yeti
cooler, and a fishing trip.
About 30 churches were called this week to inform them that
at the Banquet we will be honoring them for supporting us this past year. We would love to have each church
represented. You may want to ask your
pastor if he has been notified.

Are you in the Lord's army? Then you are either training, in a battle, between battles, or AWOL. What a privilege to be one of God's soldiers.
