Hello all,
This has
been a busy week. But praise God this is
what we are here for - one client who received Christ and three who are
considering adoption.
Adoption is
one of the three options to a woman or girl in crisis pregnancy. We are so glad to assist in the decision to
adopt or parent, but there is something special about a mother who sacrifices
her own natural desires to mother so that her child can have a beautiful
life.
Franci
Foster is one of our former volunteers.
She is currently the director of the Florida Baptist Children’s home
adoption office for this area. We are so
grateful that she will come on a moment’s notice to counsel a client who is
interested in making an adoption plan.
Recently a moving video about adoption was created and shared with
churches in our area. The link to view
this video is as follows: https://www.dropbox.com/s/0ezpha3t8r4ysog/Adoption%20Emphasis%20FBC-HD.mp4?dl=0
Christmas
festivities are currently going on all around us. This is truly a busy time of year for most of
us. To be able to come away from all the
hustle and bustle of the season and enjoy a gift of beautiful orchestra, choir
and children singing was a real treat.
St. Johns Evangelistic Catholic church invited me to say a few words at
their Christmas cantata “God With Us”.
The proceeds from the concert were given to the Center. The music and singing were both just beautiful, with many children who melted the hearts of
all in attendance. A special thank you
goes to St. John’s for their generous contribution to this ministry.
Another
thank you goes out to the Panama City Beach Rotary Club. Their generous donation from the Grills Gone
Wild event was presented to the PRC on Thursday. God is blessing in so many areas, we can not
say enough about how good He is.
I also want
to thank the wonderful volunteers who came out to our Banquet Committee meeting
this morning. God’s really took
over. Many decisions were made and plans
for the coming month. Our next meeting
will be January 29. We have a lot of
things that need to be accomplished before the next meeting, so if you would like
to help with any of them we would love to have you come to the Center any time
in January. This is an opportunity to
volunteer in an at-will capacity.
Sanctity of
Human Life next month is really shaping up.
We currently have 25 churches participating with us. There are about three churches of whom we
have not assigned a speaker yet. If you
would like to speak at your church or another, please call and let’s discuss
it. The churches who are participating
are as follows:
Bayou George Christian, Black Women's Assoc., Carlisle Baptist Church, Cedar Grove Baptist Church, Covenant Presbyterian Church, Fellowship Baptist, First Baptist Church, First Church of God, First Church of Nazarene, First United Methodist Church, Grace Baptist Church, Gulf Beach Baptist Church, Heritage Bible Church, Howard Creek Baptist, Kingswood Baptist, Life Blood Baptist Church, Lighthouse Church, Living Word Fellowship, Northstar, Pala Alta Church of Christ, Springfield Baptist Church, St. Dominics Catholic, St. John Catholic, Woodstock Church PCB, Youngstown
Campus of First Baptist PC
A couple of
years ago I met a sweet woman who was attending our church. After our yearly Sanctity of Human Life
emphasis, she came to me and inquired about volunteering. She came to the Center, took our application
and came a few times to volunteer. Then
as so many times it happens, life interfered and she didn’t come back for a
while.
Later we
were connected through a client who was a friend of hers and I once again
encouraged her to come be a counselor. I
knew she would be a wonderful counselor.
Now she is coming in on a regular basis to help out for a couple of
hours a week. Last week she was elated
when her client prayed to receive Christ.
As Jeanie
told me the story of how this client came to know Jesus, it was clear to her
and me that it was definitely a God moment.
This client was so open to the Word of God and her receiving Christ was
without hardly any effort on the behalf of Jeanie. This is just proof that God does the
preparation and when we are willing to plant the seed He will do the feeding
and harvesting. Sometimes we get to
witness that harvesting right before our eyes. I asked Jeanie to write about
this for the printed newsletter. It will
be coming to your mailbox soon. Keep an
eye out for it.
We are most
grateful to God for Jeanie Connell and all the beautiful godly women who want fit
into God’s plan for their lives by answering His call to minister in this
place.
In life
there are sometimes many tasks that just seem impossible to complete by a
deadline May we take a step back this
Christmas and proclaim again and again
that Jesus is the reason for the season and not let the busyness of life or
anything else take our joy.
MERRY
CHRISTMAS EVERYONE
To God Be
the Glory – He is soooo good!!!

righteous run to it, and are safe.”
